catalytic converters
Inefficient catalytic converters caused by dirty air filters, a lack of scheduled oil changes, severe driving conditions, poor fuel, and short trips, can increase carbon accumulation leading to excessive NOx output by the engine which will lead to lowered levels of O2 which triggers the PO420 diagnostic trouble code.
